The Microsoft Teams connection is not open yet. It is being built on the notification foundation already live with Slack: an event confirmed, an option placed, a cancellation, announced in the channel where the team already is.
Not connectable yet
Microsoft Teams appears in the communication tab of your integration settings, marked coming soon. Nothing to set up today.
Slack works today
Venues on Slack already get their event status changes announced in a channel. Teams will follow the same pattern.
Outlook already works
If you run Microsoft 365, the mailbox and calendar connections are live, shared mailboxes included. Only the Teams announcements are pending.
What the Microsoft Teams integration will do
The people who need to know an event is confirmed are rarely the ones who confirmed it. The point of the connection is to tell them where they already are.
Your events' key moments in your channel
An option placed, an event confirmed, lost or cancelled, and confirmed amendments: each one becomes an announcement in the channel you chose.
A message you can act on
Date, venue, client, headcount and amount travel with the announcement, plus a button that opens the event in Joinways.
You decide what deserves an announcement
Pick the statuses worth interrupting the team for and the channel they land in, so the channel stays a signal rather than noise.
What the Teams connection will send
- An announcement on each event status change: option, confirmed, lost, cancelled
- Confirmed amendments, announced too
- The date, venue, client, headcount and amount, in the message
- A button that opens the event in Joinways, in the channel of your choice
- Nothing in the other direction: replies to clients go out from Joinways
What it will change, day to day
The Saturday that stops being a surprise
A quote is signed on Friday evening and the event flips to confirmed. The channel says so immediately, so kitchen and floor start Monday knowing there is one more service.
The cancellation everyone sees at once
A cancelled event is announced in the same place. The date frees up in plain sight, and sales can offer it again instead of learning about it by chance.
Why announce your events in Microsoft Teams?
In a venue, the people who need to know a Saturday is booked are rarely the ones who booked it: kitchen, floor, technical, planning. As long as the news travels by word of mouth or a forwarded email, someone always learns it on the day.
The connection turns each status change into an announcement in the channel that already gathers the team, with the date, the client and the amount. Nobody has to watch a dashboard, and nobody discovers a confirmed event at the last minute. This already runs with Slack; Teams is built on the same foundation.
And in the meantime?
Statuses still live on the event record, in the planning and in the in-app and email notifications. Nothing is lost, it just does not surface in Teams.
