Cloudbeds rooms on the event record, soon
The Cloudbeds connection is not open yet. It is being built on the same PMS foundation as Mews, which is connectable today: room availability and rates read straight from the event you are quoting.

Mews works today
Properties running Mews already read their room availability and rates from the event record. The Cloudbeds behaviour will be the same.
Read-only, like the rest
The PMS connection reads. It will not create reservations or blocks in Cloudbeds, and no inventory will be copied to our side.
What the Cloudbeds integration will do
The same block, fed by a different PMS. A residential inquiry gets its room answer without anyone opening a second system.
Availability on the event record
Room types, rooms free on each night of the stay, and the number sellable for the entire stay, in the Accommodation block of the event.
Rates read from Cloudbeds
Nightly prices and stay totals will come from your Cloudbeds rates, so what you quote matches what the property actually sells.
One connection per property
A connection will attach to a single venue, so groups running several properties keep each event reading the right inventory.
What the Cloudbeds connection will read
- Your room types, with their names and capacities
- The rooms free for each night of the stay
- The number of rooms sellable for the whole stay
- Nightly prices and stay totals, from your Cloudbeds rates
- The property timezone and currency
- Nothing in the other direction: the connection will stay read-only
What it will change, day to day
The residential inquiry answered in one screen
Thirty people, one night in June. The rooms free that night appear on the event record, so the answer leaves without a detour through the PMS.
The proposal that stops promising sold rooms
Availability read at the moment of the answer, not the day before. The proposal reflects what is really left, and no correction has to reach the client.
Why connect Cloudbeds to your event venue software?
A property that sells both bedrooms and events answers residential inquiries from two systems. The rooms are in Cloudbeds, the inquiry is in the event tool, and the person in the middle copies numbers between them. That copy is where dates get promised twice and where a proposal goes out with rooms that are already gone.
The PMS connection removes the copy. Availability and rates are read at the moment the question is asked, on the record where the answer is being written. Cloudbeds keeps the rooms; the event tool stops guessing about them. The Mews version of this ships today, and Cloudbeds is built on the same foundation.
And in the meantime?
The room answer still comes from a screenshot or a message to the front office, with the delay and the drift that implies.
