Cloudbeds: your room types next to your function rooms
The Cloudbeds connection is not open yet. It will show room-type availability and rates from Cloudbeds on the event record, without writing anything back.
Your channel manager is untouched
Joinways will only read availability and push no rates or inventory, so nothing it does can reach your OTAs through the Cloudbeds channel manager.

The same block as Mews and Apaleo
Mews and Apaleo already feed the Accommodation block of the event record. Cloudbeds will fill the same block with the same information: room types, nights, rooms you can sell for the whole stay, and prices.
What the Cloudbeds integration will do
When a property sells its rooms through Cloudbeds and its events through Joinways, an inquiry with overnight stays involves both tools. The connection will show the rooms on the event record.
Rates as Cloudbeds sells them
Nightly prices and the stay total will be read from your Cloudbeds rates, so the figure quoted for the rooms matches what the booking engine would show.
Room types and nightly availability
The event record will list each Cloudbeds room type, with the rooms free on every night of the stay and the number you can sell for the whole stay.
One property, one connection
Each connection will be attached to a single venue, so a multi-property Cloudbeds account will connect each property to its own Joinways venue.

What Cloudbeds will change day to day
The estate that puts guests up on site
Twelve rooms, Wednesday to Friday, for a leadership retreat. Once connected, the Accommodation block will show how many rooms are free on both nights and the stay total, while the event space is being quoted.
The hostel selling a group stay with a meeting room
A student association needs forty beds and a workshop room. Availability per room type will be read when you answer, so the proposal will not promise beds already sold on Booking.com.
Until the connection opens
The inquiry, the proposal, and the follow-up already run in Joinways. Room availability is checked in Cloudbeds and added to your reply by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Why connect Cloudbeds to Joinways?
Cloudbeds presents itself as an all-in-one platform for independent lodging: PMS, channel manager, booking engine, payments, and guest messaging in a single system. For a small hotel that also hosts corporate retreats and private events, it is the one screen where the rooms live.
The event side lives elsewhere. Someone asks whether forty rooms are free in October, and the answer requires opening Cloudbeds, checking each room type across the nights, and copying the result. The connection will read that picture from Cloudbeds when the event record is opened and show it next to the function-room availability. Cloudbeds will stay the source of truth for rooms, and no one will have to copy its figures again.
And until the Cloudbeds integration opens?
Someone checks the rooms in Cloudbeds and copies the answer into the reply, which means a delay and, now and then, an outdated figure.
Inquiries, proposals, contracts, scheduling, and invoicing already run in Joinways, whatever your PMS is.
Is the Cloudbeds connection available?
Not yet. Cloudbeds is in the PMS tab of your integration settings, marked coming soon. Mews and Apaleo are the property systems you can connect today.
Will Joinways write into Cloudbeds?
No. The connection will be read-only, like the Mews connection today: it will create no reservation or block and change no rate or inventory.
Is there any risk to the channel manager?
No. Because nothing will be written, your distribution to OTAs and your booking engine will not be affected.
