Chrome extension: complete and answer Kactus, Naboo, Funbooker requests from the platform
Requests coming through a platform often hide the guest's email and phone. The Chrome extension works from the platform page: it finds the request in Joinways, completes it, checks availability and helps you reply.
Kactus, Naboo, Funbooker, Aleou, Airbnb: a request coming through a platform rarely carries the guest's email or phone, and the conversation stays on the platform. The Joinways Chrome extension works from the platform page: it finds the request in Joinways, completes what the email did not carry, checks the venue's availability and helps you reply without leaving the tab.
What you will learn
- Install and connect the extension
- What happens when you open a request on the platform
- Draft a reply from the panel
- What the extension does not do
Prerequisites
- Google Chrome 114 or newer (or a Chromium-based browser that supports the side panel).
- Access to your Joinways workspace (any team member can connect the extension).
Install and connect
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open joinways.app and your workspace in a tab.
- Click the extension icon, then "Connect". The workspace is detected from the open tab; if several workspaces are open, pick the right one.
The connection renews itself. You only redo it after disconnecting on purpose from the panel.
On a request page
- Recognition. The panel finds the matching request in Joinways and shows its enrichment state, with a link to the request or to the created event.
- Silent enrichment. Full name, company, email, phone, dates, headcount, budget and needs visible on the page are added to the request. Only empty fields are filled, nothing you typed is overwritten. Your own details and the platform advisor's are excluded.
- Availability. The panel tells whether the requested date is free or already taken, venue by venue, with the conflicting events.
- Platform status. When the platform shows the request as accepted, declined or expired, the panel says so and proposes the matching Joinways action: reject in Joinways too, create or update the event. Nothing changes without your click.
Draft a reply from the panel
The conversation with the guest stays on the platform, which is why the Joinways inbox offers no reply for these requests. The panel's "Reply to the guest" card drafts one with what Joinways knows: the request brief, the venue's real availability on the requested date and, when an event exists, your spaces and prices.
- Optionally add a steer ("propose the rooftop", "decline politely"), then click "Draft a reply".
- Read and edit the text in the panel.
- "Insert into the page" puts the text into the platform's reply box (what you had already typed is kept). "Copy" puts it on the clipboard. Sending stays in your hands.
What the extension does not do
It does not create events, place options or replace the inbox: those decisions are made in Joinways, and the panel links there in one click. It never sends a message on your behalf. And it stays inactive outside recognised booking platforms: on other sites nothing is read or transmitted.
FAQ
The request is not found?
Click "Link this page to an existing request" and pick the request or the event. The link is remembered for the whole team. If the request does not exist in Joinways yet, "Create and enrich the request" creates it from the page.
Which platforms are recognised?
Venue and event marketplaces (Kactus, Naboo, Funbooker, Aleou, Native Spaces, Privateaser, Peerspace, Tagvenue, Airbnb, WeddingWire…). The list is updated on the Joinways side, without a new extension release.
How do I disconnect?
At the bottom of the panel, "Disconnect". The extension token is revoked immediately.
