Before you start
- Your Joinways workspace is on the Pro plan or in its free trial. Other plans cannot authorize Zapier.
- You have a Zapier account and are a member of the Joinways workspace you want to connect.
- When Zapier asks, you sign in to Joinways, pick the workspace and approve read and write access.
- To create events from a zap, your workspace has at least one venue: the venue is a required field.

Security and access
- Zapier connects through OAuth with PKCE. You never paste a password or an API key into Zapier.
- Access is limited to the one workspace you pick on the consent screen.
- The access granted covers reading and writing that workspace's inquiries, events, proposals and contacts.
- Every webhook sent to Zapier carries an HMAC SHA-256 signature and only goes to a public https address.
- Access renews as long as Zapier uses it; after 90 days without use, Zapier asks you to reconnect. It stops earlier if you leave the workspace or lose the Pro plan.
- Turning a zap off removes its webhook in Joinways. The owner and admins can also remove webhooks in the Developers settings.
What it does not do
- Triggers cover four moments: new inquiry, event created, event status changed, quote status changed.
- Actions create inquiries, contacts, companies and events, and change an event's status. They do not edit or delete other records.
- Proposals, invoices and payments cannot be created or changed from Zapier.
- A workspace holds up to 25 active webhooks, Zapier and API combined.
- After 10 failed deliveries in a row, a webhook is switched off and its zap stops receiving data.

Create a zap in Zapier
In your Zapier account, create a new zap, the workflow that will link Joinways to your other tools.

Pick Joinways as the trigger
Choose Joinways as the trigger app and select the moment that should start the workflow, a new inquiry for example.

Connect your workspace
Authorize the connection to your Joinways workspace when Zapier asks for it.

Choose the action
Pick what happens in the destination app, then turn the zap on. It runs from the next trigger.

Your website form, straight to inquiries
The form tool on your website sends each submission to Joinways as a new inquiry. Name, date, guests and budget are mapped once in the zap.
