What event venue websites show

We analyzed the websites of 1,313 event venues in France, the United Kingdom and the United States. What a client finds there before the first exchange: the price, the capacity, the response time, access for people with disabilities.

Pricing is often behind the inquiry form

In the United States, 37% of venues publish a price: rental fee, package or price per person. In the United Kingdom, 49%. In France, 22%.

The others send visitors to an inquiry form or to a phone call.

Venues that show a rental price or package

Few venues say when they will reply

5% of websites commit to a specific response time, such as a reply within 24 or 48 hours.

16% promise to reply “as soon as possible” without saying when. The rest say nothing about timing.

Accessibility is rarely documented

One website in five says whether the venue is accessible to wheelchair users, whether it is or not.

The share ranges from 13% in the United States to 27% in the United Kingdom. It is 20% in France.

Tested with Lighthouse in mobile mode, homepages get a median score of 63 out of 100. 21% score under 50.

Methodology

Frame: Google Maps listings categorized as event venue, reception hall, banquet hall, function room facility, conference center or wedding venue, with a website, in 56 areas (18 in France, 18 in the United Kingdom, 20 in the United States). That is 11,659 distinct websites.

Sample: 650 websites drawn at random per country. 1,716 responded. 1,313 are venues rented for events: 410 in France, 524 in the United Kingdom and 379 in the United States.

Collection, in October 2026: the homepage and up to ten linked pages (pricing, quote, contact, spaces, accessibility), rendered in a browser to also capture content loaded with JavaScript. A missing item means missing from those pages.

Verification: 81 websites drawn at random were coded twice, independently, from the text of the same pages, with an AI model and a written coding guide. Disagreements were settled on the full text. 51 websites were used to tune detection, 30 others to measure its accuracy. Published percentages are corrected for the measured errors.

Margin of error: about 3 points overall, 4 to 5 points per country. The figures describe venues visible on Google Maps in these areas. In the United Kingdom, Google lists most venues as wedding venues, which skews the UK sample.

Speed: Lighthouse in mobile mode on the homepage, simulated 4G connection. It is a lab measurement, not the load time visitors actually experience.
