Manage people (People)

The People section lists your client contacts. It is filled from leads and signed quotes. Ideal for finding a client or company.

Manage people

The People section groups all individual contacts in your workspace: clients, vendors, partners. It's your centralized directory, automatically enriched as you use Joinways.

In the sidebar, click People. You'll see the list of all contacts, with their name, email, company and number of associated events.

  2. Fill in the information:

Contact profile

On a contact's page, you'll find:

  • Full contact details.
  • History of all their events (past and upcoming).
  • Email exchanges.
  • Added notes.

Automatic enrichment

Contacts are automatically created or enriched in several cases:

  • When you convert a lead into an event, the contact is created with AI-extracted data.
  • When a client signs a quote, their information (name, email, company) is synced.

CRM data quality

A CRM is only as good as the data it contains. Take a few seconds to verify each contact's information after an exchange. A wrong phone number or outdated email can cost you a client.

  • Complete profiles progressively — with each interaction, add missing information (company, role, preferences).
  • Avoid duplicates — before creating a new contact, search first to see if they already exist. Use the search bar by name or email.
  • Link to companies — connect each professional contact to their company for a complete B2B view.

CRM use cases in events

Your CRM is a retention tool. Identify recurring clients (companies that book every year) and proactively reach out 2 months before their usual period. Use notes to document client preferences (preferred room, dietary restrictions, typical budget) to personalize each proposal.

💡 Export your contact list for targeted email campaigns — segment by event type or booking frequency.

Can I import contacts from an Excel file?

Yes, Joinways supports CSV import. Prepare your file with columns: last name, first name, email, phone, company. Access import from Settings > Import / Export.

Troubleshooting

I see duplicate contacts — how to merge them?

Joinways detects duplicates by email. If two contacts have different email addresses, they appear as separate records. Manually update the duplicate to match, then delete the extra entry.

Best practices

Add notes to contact profiles for important details: dietary preferences, preferred communication method, VIP status, or past event history. This helps your team deliver personalized service every time.

💡 Merge duplicate contacts promptly. Having a single, complete profile per person ensures accurate communication history.
