Manage companies (Companies)

The Companies section groups your clients’ companies. Link people to a company and view event history per company.

Manage companies

The Companies section groups your professional clients and partners (businesses, agencies, caterers, vendors). Each company record centralizes legal information and associated contacts, making B2B quoting and invoicing easier.

Where to find companies

In the sidebar, click Companies. You'll see the list with name, city and number of associated contacts.

Create a company

  1. Click New company.
  2. Fill in the information:
  • Company name — legal name.
  • Address — headquarters or billing address.
  • SIRET / identification number — legal identifier.
  • VAT number — intra-community VAT.
  • Website — site URL.

  1. Save.

Company profile

On a company's page, you'll find:

  • Legal and contact information.
  • Associated people (linked individual contacts).
  • Events involving this company.

B2B data for quotes and invoices

Company information (legal name, address, VAT, SIRET) is used to pre-fill billing fields when creating quotes and invoices. This saves you from re-entering data each time.

💡 Enter the VAT number when creating the company so your B2B invoices are compliant.

B2B strategy

Companies are often your most recurring and profitable clients. An annual corporate seminar or quarterly team-building events generate predictable revenue. Structure your company profiles to capitalize on this recurrence.

  • Document history — every past event with a company is visible in their profile — use this history to personalize future proposals.
  • Identify decision-makers — within a company, multiple contacts may be involved. Identify the decision-maker (who signs) and the coordinator (who organizes).
  • Track potential — a 500-employee company has higher event potential than a freelancer — adjust your follow-up level accordingly.
💡 Add the industry and company size to the profile for better client portfolio segmentation.

How do I merge two duplicate company profiles?

Currently, automatic merging is not available. Manually transfer contacts from the duplicate to the main profile, then delete the duplicate. Verify that all associated events have been reassigned.

Best practices

Keep company profiles up to date with billing information (VAT number, address, legal name). This saves time when generating invoices and quotes — the billing details auto-fill from the company profile.

💡 Add notes to company profiles for key details: payment terms, preferred contact method, or special agreements.

Troubleshooting

Duplicate company entries?

Search before creating a new company to check if it already exists. If you find duplicates, delete the extra entry and reassign its contacts to the correct company profile.

Company not linking to events?

Companies are linked through contacts. Make sure the contact associated with the event belongs to the correct company profile.

FAQ

Are companies created automatically?

No, companies are created manually. However, company information is updated automatically when a quote is signed.

Can I link a contact to multiple companies?

A contact is linked to one company. If the person changes companies, update their profile.

Can I import companies in bulk?

Yes, from Settings > Import/Export. Prepare a CSV file with columns: company name, address, SIRET, VAT number. Download the template first.
